Batch Processing Images Using Macros
The Batch Processing tool on the Tasks ribbon provides all the tools you need to set up Image-Pro to run the same macro(s) on every image:
- In a folder/folder hierarchy, or
- Currently opened in the application workspace.
To set up and execute batch processing of images:
Navigate to the Scripting tab, and click on the Batch Processing tool.
The Batch Processing dialog box is displayed:
In the Select Macros group, click on the Loop
On pull-down list box.
The macro you select in the Loop On control specifies which
macro you want to run on the collection of images you will be defining later.
When you click on the Loop On control, you are presented with the currently loaded macros for the project.
Navigate the macro folder structure to find the macro you want to select.

information on the macro folder structure, click here.
In the Select Images group of the Batch Processing dialog box, identify the collection of images that you want batch processed. You can do one of the following:
Option A:
Click
on Select Folder tool in the tool bar of the Select Images group and use the controls to select a folder containing
the images you want batch processed. If you select a folder, Image-Pro will process all images in that folder that match the file format you select through the Select Folder sub-menu. Click the down-arrow to the right of the folder icon to show the sub-menu.
- Include Subfolders: Select this option to have Image-Pro process images not only in the folder you selected, but also all subfolders of the selected folder.
- File Formats: From this list box, select the file format of the images that you want batch processed in the selected folder.
Option B:
Click on the Add Images tool in the tool bar of the Select Images group to manually select -- from the set of currently open images -- those that you want batch processed. When you click on this tool, all currently-opened images are listed. Click on the ones you want processed; this adds them to the Selected Images list box.
(Optional) Use the Grouping and Sorting feature to select and process groups of images together. Grouping is controlled by the Grouping and Sorting tool located in the Select Images tool bar. This tool turns grouping on or off, and also provides several basic grouping schemes such as "Group by Folder", "Group by Index", and so on.
When files are grouped, you can control the order of groups and the order within each group by using the column headers.
In the Start Batch Process group of the Batch Processing dialog box, select the options you want to use for batch processing. Click here for more information about these options.
Click
the Start button.
The batch processing of the specified collection of images is initiated.
